About the Role:
The Quality Executive – Third-Party Manufacturing will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring quality, food safety, and process compliance at our outsourced manufacturing and packing facilities.
The role involves regular visits to multiple third-party manufacturing facilities across Siliguri, depending on production schedules and business requirements. The candidate will work closely with TPM partners to ensure adherence to Teabox quality standards, approved specifications, SOPs, GMP/GHP requirements, and regulatory expectations.
This is a field-oriented quality role, and willingness to travel within Siliguri on a regular basis is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Third-Party Manufacturing Quality Control
- Conduct regular quality visits and inspections at outsourced manufacturing and packing facilities.
- Monitor production and packing activities against approved specifications, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Perform in-process quality checks at RM, SF, and FG stages.
- Identify, document, and report quality deviations and non-conformities.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented and followed up with TPM partners.
2. Raw Material & Packaging Quality
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials and packaging materials at TPM facilities.
- Verify materials against approved specifications and COAs.
- Ensure proper material identification, segregation, status labeling, and storage conditions.
- Monitor primary packaging quality and product integrity.
3. FIFO / FEFO & Traceability
- Monitor implementation of FIFO/FEFO for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Verify batch identification, traceability, and stock rotation at outsourced facilities.
- Ensure proper segregation and control of damaged, rejected, or non-conforming materials.
4. GMP, GHP & Hygiene Compliance
- Monitor GMP, GHP, personnel hygiene, sanitation, and housekeeping practices at TPM facilities.
- Verify adherence to food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Identify gaps and drive closure of observations with the respective facility teams.
5. CAPA & Root Cause Analysis
- Raise and document NCRs for quality deviations.
- Participate in RCA and support TPM partners in developing appropriate CAPAs.
- Track corrective actions and verify their effectiveness during subsequent visits.
6. FSMS & Audit Support
- Support compliance with ISO 22000:2018 / FSSC 22000 v6 requirements, where applicable.
- Assist with internal, customer, certification, and regulatory audits at TPM facilities.
- Ensure required quality and food safety records are maintained and available.
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, checklists, NCRs, and quality records.
- Prepare visit-wise, daily, and weekly quality reports.
- Escalate critical quality and food safety issues promptly.
- Maintain records of TPM performance, observations, and CAPA status.
8. Complaint & Continuous Improvement
- Support investigation of quality-related customer complaints involving TPM-produced products.
- Work with TPM partners to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Identify opportunities to improve quality systems and manufacturing processes.
Education & Experience:
- Graduate in Food Science / Food Technology / Chemistry / Microbiology / Science or a related field.
OR
- Graduate in any other field with 1–2 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control, preferably in the food, beverage, tea, or FMCG industry.
- Freshers with relevant academic projects or internship experience may also be considered.
Key Requirement:
- Willingness to travel extensively within Siliguri to multiple third-party manufacturing/packing facilities is mandatory.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a field-based, factory-facing quality role.
- Two-wheeler and a valid driving license would be an advantage.
