As an Advertising Copywriter at Teabox, you'll create high-converting, well-researched, and compelling copy that turns attention into action. From scroll-stopping ads and engaging email campaigns to persuasive landing pages and high-performing video scripts, your writing will play a key role in driving growth.

Working closely with our marketing team, you'll blend customer psychology, first-principles thinking, storytelling, and performance marketing to craft content that doesn't just sound good—it delivers results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write Scroll-Stopping Video & UGC Ads: Craft persuasive, high-converting scripts for direct response videos and UGC ads that grab attention, spark interest, and drive action.
  • Bring Static Ads to Life: Create compelling copy for static ads across multiple platforms, ensuring every word aligns perfectly with campaign goals and our brand voice.
  • Own Every Headline, Caption & Description: Write irresistible headlines, engaging captions, and persuasive descriptions that capture attention and encourage clicks.
  • Build Landing Pages That Convert: Turn curious visitors into loyal customers with persuasive, conversion-focused landing page copy that works seamlessly with our ad campaigns.
  • Create Emails People Actually Want to Read: Write engaging, high-performing email campaigns for product launches, seasonal promotions, and audience-specific communication.
  • Think Like the Customer: Dive deep into customer behavior and psychology to create messaging that genuinely resonates and inspires action.
  • Write with First-Principles Thinking: Build every piece of content from strong fundamentals, ensuring it aligns with our brand values, business goals, and customer expectations.
  • Collaborate, Brainstorm & Create: Work closely with the marketing team to develop fresh ideas, shape content strategies, and create campaigns that drive both engagement and sales.
  • Tell Stories That Stick: Use storytelling techniques to transform ordinary messages into memorable brand experiences that people genuinely connect with.
  • Polish Every Word: Edit, proofread, and refine content to ensure every piece is accurate, grammatically flawless, and consistently on-brand.
  • Stay Curious. Stay Ahead. Keep up with emerging trends, platforms, and content innovations to continuously elevate the quality and effectiveness of our work.
  • Help Shape the Bigger Picture: Participate in content planning and strategy discussions while collaborating with designers and multimedia teams to create campaigns with maximum impact.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Advertising Copywriter, or a similar role (agency background is a plus).
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong focus on selling through words.
  • In-depth understanding of customer behavior, psychology, and a first principles approach.
  • Deep understanding of direct response marketing principles and customer psychology.
  • Experience in writing copies for ad scripts, email campaigns, landing pages, meta ad headlines, and other marketing collaterals.
  • Strong storytelling skills to create engaging narratives that drive brand affinity.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
  • A degree in Marketing, Advertising, English, or a related field is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ad copywriting frameworks like AIDA, Problem-Agitate-Solution, FAB, etc.

What Will Get You Brownie Points:

  • Prior experience as ad copywriter or a similar role in a performance marketing (or marketing) agency or a high-growth stage startup.
  • A strong portfolio of ads that drove measurable performance.
  • Hands-on experience with high-performing ad formats (Meta, Google, TikTok, etc.).
